reputations & plotting meme
Greetings, inmates!
The purpose of this meme is two-fold: one, to plot and plan threads with the other players in the game! That part is self-explanatory. You are encouraged to use this meme to plot closed logs with other players as there is no group intro log.
And two: to start feeling out a daily routine for your characters, what kind of relationships they have with the guards and NPC inmates, and what kind of reputation they have overall! Even new arrivals will start to get a reputation pretty quickly, so don't worry if your character isn't established yet.
This sort of background planning affects things like: the reputation each block has, characters that may be punished more or less than others, how easily characters will be able to bribe guards, which characters might be pegged as good potential snitches by the guards, and so on!

BILLY HARGROVE
Name: Billy Hargrove
Block: A
Sentence: Life
How long have they been at Obsidian?: About a week.
Reputation Section
Does your character obey the rules, or try to skirt around them?: Billy's never had very much regard for rules and will likely disobey them because he hasn't bothered to learn what they are or because he thinks they're stupid or because he just feels like being an asshole that day. He's not going to back down from a fight just because it's against the "rules".
If your character is disobedient, what sort of rule-breaking would they engage in?: Mostly fighting and dealing contraband, but he'll casually ignore any rules about cleaning up after himself, too.
Has your character ever been to SHU?: No, but he'll probably end up there eventually.
Is your character social, or do they keep to themselves?: Billy is social, but he's secretly intimidated by a lot of the other inmates and will be more closed off than usual around the people he doesn't think he can intimidate.
Is your character more of a leader or a follower? Or neither?: He thinks he's the top dog but really he's young and scared and will be so easy to manipulate. Please manipulate him.
What might they be doing on an average day?: He spends a lot of his free time working out in the yard, because he wants to keep projecting his tough guy image. Otherwise, he hangs out in his cell or tries to watch TV in the common room. He'll likely cozy up to anyone that makes him feel safer really quickly.
What's something about your character's behavior that the guards might like? What might they dislike?: He's a teenager with a bad attitude that is just slightly too old for juvie, but the guards here didn't sign up to deal with his teen drama or his macho posturing so they generally don't like him. However, he seems relatively easy to push around despite his attitude, so he could be useful for something.
How is your character perceived by other inmates, in their block and outside of it?: It's between the people who see through his act and know that he's not as tough as he pretends he is, and people who are actually somewhat intimidated by him. The latter group has mostly just heard of his crime (many counts of murder) or they think he's older than he actually is. Anyone who talks to him long enough to know that he's a scared kid is probably in the former group.
If they asked around, what might other PCs hear about your character?: Billy claims that some outside force was controlling his body and making him kill all those people, so there are a lot of rumors that he's just straight up crazy. That he's an angry teen who snapped and went on a rampage is also a pretty popular one. Some people say they can hear him crying at night from their nearby cells, but he denies it.
Where would you like your character to end up, in terms of reputation and their role in their block and the prison as a whole?: I want him to find a group to run with, and I can see him filling a kind of bodyguard/enforcer role eventually.
What does your character think of the Anomaly?: He's terrified of it and wants to avoid anything supernatural as much as he possibly can.
Plotting Section
CR You Want: Once again, pretty much anything. People who can manipulate this poor traumatized kid onto their side. People who can help him work through his trauma. People who would be cruel to him that he can eventually stand up to, because he has to confront his monsters eventually. People what would be kind to him and be his friend so he can be invested in another person's welfare (I like protective Billy a whole lot ok).
CR You Can Offer: You you want to get bullied? Billy can deliver. He's a young impressionable person that will imprint on the first authority figure that is actually nice to him. He will say yes to pretty much any stupid plans anyone has. He will pick a fight. He will talk about heavy metal music and action movies. Basically if you want a rowdy teen pal or enemy, he's your guy.
Current Plans: He's going to be recruited for Eliot's contraband business, but other than that I'm open!
